BRAD DE COMARMOND
About Brad de Comarmond
Brad de Comarmond is a speaker and founder of Empower, a workplace performance initiative focused on improving men's health and engagement. He works with organizations and people leaders to address one of the most overlooked challenges in employee wellbeing: how to better support, engage, and activate the male workforce.
Born in South Africa and raised in Tampa, Florida, Brad is an only child who turned to food and escapism early in life, contributing to struggles with obesity, isolation, and low self-confidence. In early adulthood, he underwent a major physical transformation that led to professional modeling, signing with top agencies including Ford, Elite, and Wilhelmina. In his early 30s, he was diagnosed with low testosterone, giving him firsthand insight into how deeply physical health can affect a man's mindset, confidence, and performance. During COVID-19 isolation, his mental health was further tested, and finding brotherhood through men's groups became a turning point in helping him regain stability, connection, and a stronger sense of self.

Speaking Topics
Men are often the least likely employees to engage with preventive care, mental health support, and workplace wellbeing resources, despite facing rising rates of burnout, loneliness, metabolic dysfunction, and disengagement.
In this keynote, Brad de Comarmond unpacks the current state of men's health, why many traditional wellness strategies miss men entirely, and what organizations can do differently if they want better participation, stronger performance, and healthier teams. Audiences will walk away with a clearer understanding of the unique challenges men face, the business case for addressing them, and practical strategies to better support and engage the male workforce.
Most workplace wellness programs are marketed like benefits communications when they should be marketed more like great consumer brands. That disconnect matters, especially when trying to engage men, who are often the least likely employees to participate in preventive care, mental health support, and wellbeing resources.
In this keynote, Brad de Comarmond breaks down the engagement principles consumer brands use every day, but employee benefits rarely do, including identity-based language, social proof, urgency, repeated touch points, aligned pain points, messenger credibility, and real stakes. He shows why traditional benefits messaging often misses men entirely, and how organizations can rethink the way they present health resources so they feel more relevant, credible, and worth acting on.
Men are struggling, but many organizations still don't know how to reach them. Shame, isolation, emotional suppression, and a reluctance to ask for help can keep men disconnected from the very resources designed to support them. In this talk, Brad explores the hidden mental health challenges many men face—from stress and loneliness to identity loss and quiet burnout, and why male engagement requires a different approach than simply offering more resources. Drawing from both personal experience and workplace insight, he shares how leaders and organizations can create the kind of messaging, culture, and support systems that men are actually more likely to trust, use, and benefit from.
