He Started at an Alligator Attraction. He Ended Up Running Training for Hard Rock International for 21 Years.

Jim Knight - Keynote Speaker

JIM KNIGHT — Former Global Head of Training, Hard Rock International (21 Years) | Best-Selling Author of the Culture That Rocks Series | Top 10 Most Booked Speaker in the U.S.

Jim Knight’s career started at Gatorland in Florida, and he’ll tell you himself he has the scars to prove it. From there he moved into hospitality training and eventually spent two decades running Global Training and Development for Hard Rock International, building the actual materials, corporate university, and onsite programs that shaped how one of the world’s most recognizable brands trained its people.

That’s not a metaphor when Jim talks about “rock star” culture. He spent 21 years literally inside a brand built around music, and came out the other side with a genuinely rare thing: a framework for organizational culture backed by real corporate results, not just a catchy theme.

The Track Record Behind the Theme

During his run at Hard Rock, Jim’s team won multiple Telly Awards for training work spanning guest service, menu rollout, and harassment and discrimination prevention. Training Magazine recognized him as part of one of the top 125 training companies in the world across every industry, not just hospitality. He’s since been featured in Forbes, Inc., Fast Company, and Entrepreneur, and has sat on Rolling Stone’s Culture Council since 2020.

In 20 years of producing events for blue-chip brands, I have never seen such an engaging speaker as Jim Knight.

That’s Jim Crystal, Principal at The Revelry Agency, one of several testimonials that keep pointing at the same thing: audiences stay locked in for the full session. Taco Bell’s Avery Block put it plainly too, calling his sessions unforgettable whether the room is a massive conference or a small group.

A Full Series, Not Just One Talk

Jim’s material has grown into a three-book best-selling series, Culture That Rocks, Leadership That Rocks, Service That Rocks, and Engagement That Rocks, each one built around a specific angle: culture transformation, practical leadership initiatives, differentiated customer experience, and employee retention. A portion of his book sales and speaking fees goes to Cannonball Kids’ cancer, Tunnel to Towers, and a Central Florida community choir, which says something about how he thinks about the platform he’s built.
