Speaker Spotlight
His Team Set Four World Records Skydiving Onto Seven Continents in Under Seven Days. The Number He Talks About On Stage Is 3.0 to 4.9.

Mike Sarraille — Retired Navy SEAL · Ranked #3 Leadership Speaker in the World by Global Gurus · 3x Bestselling Author
In January 2023, Mike Sarraille led a team that skydived onto all seven continents in under seven days, setting four world records in the process. It became a theatrical documentary, Triple 7.
It is a good story. It is not the one that sells a leadership keynote. Mike spent 20 years in Special Operations, including assignments with Joint Special Operations Command, and led combat missions during the Battles of Ramadi and Sadr City. Then he went and did the far less cinematic work of running a business.
As Chief Talent Officer at Overwatch Mission Critical, he helped scale revenue from $19M to $50M and took Glassdoor and Indeed scores from 3.0 to 4.9.
Why the Glassdoor Number Matters More Than the Combat Record
Every SEAL speaker has a war record. That is the category, and after a few years of conference agendas most executive audiences have heard some version of it. The reason Mike keeps getting rebooked is that his second act is corporate, measurable and recent.
He founded Talent War Group, a leadership development and executive search firm that was acquired in 2024. At Overwatch he built a culture that has collected 15 culture awards, including 2026 Top Workplaces Culture Excellence Awards across Innovation, Employee Well-Being, Leadership, Employee Appreciation, Work-Life Flexibility, Compensation and Benefits, and Purpose and Values.
That combination is what makes him work for rooms that are usually skeptical of military speakers. He is not asking a sales team to imagine what combat was like. He is telling them what happened when he applied the selection and standards model to hiring civilians, and what it did to revenue and retention.
The Talent Argument
His best-known book, The Talent War, makes a case that lands hard with HR and hiring audiences: stop hiring resumes and start hiring attributes. Special Operations does not select people on credentials, because credentials predict very little about how someone performs when the plan falls apart.
The corporate translation is uncomfortable in a useful way. Most hiring processes are optimized for evidence of past performance in stable conditions, which is exactly the wrong filter for a business in the middle of change. He also argues that talent is a leadership responsibility rather than an HR function, which tends to produce a livelier Q&A than the keynote itself.
He has four keynotes in rotation, and the choice matters more than it does with most speakers. Evolved Leadership is for senior and emerging leaders in fast-scaling organizations. The Talent War is for executives, HR and hiring managers. The Everyday Warrior Mindset is the all-company option and works well for sales and frontline teams. High Performing Teams suits leadership teams and high-consequence environments.
