She Started Writing It for Her Children. All Rise Became a Leadership Book About How Integrity Erodes Quietly.

Rashmi Airan - Keynote Speaker

Rashmi Airan — Columbia-Trained Attorney and Former Wall Street Investment Banker · Creator of the RISE Through It® Framework · Miami, FL

All Rise: A Lawyer’s Evolution from Prison to Purpose was published by Amplify Publishing in June 2026. It is her debut book, and she narrates the audiobook herself.

It began as a private document. She was writing an honest account for her children of the years they were too young to understand, without the softening that time and other people’s versions tend to apply.

The more she wrote, the clearer it became that the pattern was not only hers.

Decision Drift

That is the term at the centre of the book, and it is the reason the story travels beyond her own.

Drift is the gradual erosion of judgment that happens when small compromises accumulate. Each decision looks defensible on its own. Taken together they move a person a long way from the standards they believe they hold. Nobody experiences it as a moment of choosing wrongly, which is exactly what makes it dangerous.

Rashmi was an Ivy League-trained attorney and investment banker before her choices led to a federal prison sentence. She has spent the decade since studying how accomplished, well-intentioned people arrive at decisions they would never have predicted.

The prisons we build within ourselves can be harder to escape than any with walls.

The book also names four barriers she calls invisible prisons: uncertainty, family and life pressures, technology and automation, and silence. The RISE Through It® framework is the practical half, and it is what the keynote is built on.

Why It Is Not a Compliance Talk

Ethics content usually arrives as a rules briefing, and rooms tune it out because nobody in them intends to break a rule.

Her subject is the person who never intended to either. That is a harder and more useful session, and it lands with audiences that would resist anything framed as compliance: executive teams, boards, professional associations, financial services and legal audiences.

The endorsements point the same way. Alison Fragale, a professor and bestselling author, describes the book as a case study in courage that examines accountability and ego with real precision. Monique Rodriguez, founder of Mielle Organics, frames it around rebuilding.
