Amplify Speakers

Staffing & Recruiting Keynote Speakers

Staffing and recruiting is a relationship business that runs at transaction speed. Submittal ratios, fill rates and time to placement dominate the daily scoreboard, and the people doing the work are measured on numbers that move by the hour. That pressure produces real results, and it also produces some of the highest voluntary turnover in professional services. Recruiters burn out in their second year. Account managers leave for a competitor offering a better split. Branch leaders spend most of the year rebuilding a desk that was fully staffed in January.

The right keynote speaker does not stand in front of that room and tell them to want it more. They give a staffing audience something they can use on Monday morning, whether that is a way to build trust faster in a candidate conversation, a practical model for keeping a producer through the hard middle stretch of their second year, or a way to run a branch that stops treating burnout as the cost of doing business.

Amplify Speakers was founded by Chris Sund, President and COO of Uniti Med and GQR Healthcare and Vice President of the NATHO board of directors. We book into this industry because we work in it. We know the difference between a room full of perm recruiters and a room full of travel nurse account managers, and we know which speakers earn each of them.

What Makes a Great Staffing and Recruiting Keynote Speaker

Staffing audiences are hard to impress, and for a good reason. They spend all day being sold to and all day selling. They can spot a canned motivational talk in the first ninety seconds, and once they have spotted it they are on their phones checking submittals. A speaker who wins that room has to demonstrate early that they understand what the job actually feels like.

The best ones do three things. They name the real problem instead of the comfortable version of it, whether that is a comp plan that quietly rewards the wrong behavior or a manager who has confused activity with progress. They give the audience a framework simple enough to remember on a Tuesday when the phone is ringing. And they leave leaders with something to do differently, not just something to feel.

Topics that land with staffing and recruiting audiences

Retention and burnout come up in almost every brief we take. Recruiter tenure is the number that quietly determines whether a branch grows, and the audience knows it. Beyond that, the most requested themes are trust and relationship building in candidate and client conversations, resilience through a slow market, leadership development for producers who just got promoted into management, culture in distributed and remote branch teams, and confidence and executive presence for account managers selling into enterprise clients.

AI comes up constantly now as well. Recruiters want to know what it changes about sourcing and what it does not change about the parts of the job that are still human.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is a staffing and recruiting keynote speaker?
A staffing and recruiting keynote speaker addresses the specific pressures of the talent industry, including recruiter retention and burnout, relationship selling, candidate experience, branch leadership, and performance through market cycles. The strongest ones combine credibility with a staffing or talent audience with a framework the room can actually apply, rather than general motivation with the word recruiter dropped in.

Do you book for staffing association conferences?
Yes. We regularly work with organizations across the healthcare staffing and talent acquisition association landscape, including NATHO, NAHCR and AAPPR. Chris Sund, who founded Amplify Speakers, serves as Vice President of the NATHO board of directors, so we understand how these programs are built and what a conference committee is accountable for.

Which speakers have direct staffing or talent backgrounds?
Angela Pointer is a registered nurse who became a healthcare talent executive and serves as President-Elect of NAHCR. Jamie Getgood led workforce transition at national scale and now runs People Avenue. Chris Rollins works specifically on reducing burnout and turnover through human connection. Those backgrounds matter in a staffing room, because the audience can tell within a minute whether the person on stage has lived it.

What does a staffing keynote speaker cost?
Fees vary widely by speaker, format and date. Most staffing association conferences and regional branch meetings land in a range that we can narrow quickly once we know your audience size, location and date. Tell us about your event and we will come back with options and real numbers rather than a catalog.

How far in advance should I book?
Sixty days is workable for a branch meeting or a sales kickoff. For an annual association conference, ninety days or more is better, because the speakers with genuine industry credibility book early and there are only so many of them.
