TRISHA MILTIMORE
About Trisha Miltimore
Trisha Miltimore is an international keynote speaker, Certified Management Consultant and the creator of Contagious Leadership™, a body of work built on one plain observation: the energy a leader carries into a room does not stay with that leader. It spreads. Every conversation, every reaction, every decision leaves something behind in the people who witnessed it, and most of us have never stopped to ask what we are leaving.
That question, what are you spreading?, sits at the center of her signature keynote and of her CARE to Lead™ framework, which gives leaders four practical places to work: Connection, Agency, Recognition and Energy. It is a model built for the everyday moments rather than the big set pieces, the hallway conversation and the hard piece of feedback and the meeting nobody wanted to have, because those are the moments where culture is actually decided.
She brings more than 25 years across radio broadcasting, business ownership, professional speaking and leadership development, and the broadcast background shows up in the room. Trisha reads an audience in real time, adjusts as she goes, and keeps a group with her whether there are 40 people in a ballroom or 500 on a virtual stage. It is also why she is so often asked to emcee the whole event once a client has seen her keynote.
Audiences have included Stantec, Northern Health, CPHR Manitoba, the SPARK Leadership Conference and the Success for Women Las Vegas Summit. She closed the CU LEAD Virtual Summit for more than 500 credit union leaders from 10 countries, which is a genuinely difficult assignment: a virtual closing session, late in the day, across ten time zones, and the feedback was that she brought laughter and real engagement to it anyway.
What planners tend to say about her afterward is some version of the same thing. She is prepared. She is easy to work with. She is still in the lobby chatting with delegates long after the session ended. She is also a mom of four, a multi-business owner, a recovering perfectionist and a self-described chocoholic, and she believes leadership is important, human work that we are still allowed to have some fun doing.
Every keynote booking can include a breakout session, so an organization can take the message deeper and apply the tools to its own workplace the same day. Trisha is based in West Kelowna, British Columbia and speaks across Canada, the United States and virtually.

Speaking Topics
Trisha's signature keynote. 60 minutes, adaptable to 45 or 75. Opening or closing. Built for leadership summits, association conferences, all-staff days and any organization moving through change.
Leadership is contagious. Every conversation, reaction and decision leaves something behind.
Most leaders can tell you what they intend to communicate. Far fewer have asked what people actually experience around them, which is the part that spreads. Trisha invites a room to look honestly at the difference, and she does it with enough humor and storytelling that nobody feels caught out.
Using her CARE to Lead™ framework, she explores how Connection, Agency, Recognition and Energy shape trust, communication and culture in the ordinary moments of a working week. Participants leave with simple tools they can use to navigate change, have more courageous conversations and lead with intention, even when the pressure is high and the people are complicated.
Program Takeaways
- See the gap between what you intend to communicate and what your people actually experience
- Apply the four levers of CARE to Lead™ to the everyday moments where culture is decided
- Strengthen trust and connection on a team without adding another meeting to the calendar
- Lead through change with intention rather than reaction
- Recognize people in ways that actually register with them
- Leave with language for the conversations that have been getting postponed
Wellbeing and performance keynote. 45 to 60 minutes. A good fit for wellness programming, HR conferences, women's events and teams coming off a heavy stretch.
Thriving leaders understand that performance and wellbeing are not competing priorities. They fuel one another.
Trisha sets aside the myth of perfect work-life balance and offers something more usable in its place: a realistic approach to sustainable performance. Through personal stories, humor and practical strategies, she helps people recognize the patterns quietly draining their energy, reconnect with what matters to them, and make intentional choices about how they work and live.
Audiences leave with renewed clarity and with tools to reduce burnout, protect their capacity and build momentum in both work and life.
Program Takeaways
- Spot the patterns that are draining energy before they turn into burnout
- Trade the balance myth for a sustainable approach that holds up in a real week
- Reconnect daily work with the things that make the effort worth it
- Make intentional choices about capacity instead of defaulting to yes
- Build recovery into performance rather than treating it as a reward
Communication keynote, highly interactive. 45 to 60 minutes, and strong as a breakout or workshop. Built for manager development, team offsites and cultures working on candor.
Most workplace tension does not disappear when we avoid it. It grows.
Trisha helps participants understand why important conversations feel so difficult, and what it quietly costs a team every time one gets postponed again. She shares approachable tools for communicating clearly, listening beyond the words that are being said, and replacing avoidance with personal agency.
People leave more confident in their ability to address tension, speak with clarity and move a hard conversation forward without losing the human connection on the other side of it.
Program Takeaways
- Understand what makes a necessary conversation feel so hard to start
- Count the real cost of the conversations a team keeps deferring
- Use practical language for raising tension without escalating it
- Listen for what is underneath the words being said
- Replace avoidance with agency, one conversation at a time
Trisha customizes every keynote to your theme and audience. All keynote bookings can include a breakout session, and as a former radio broadcaster she is also available to emcee and facilitate your full conference.
