Speakers by Location

We are a national bureau, which means geography does not limit who you can book. Every speaker on our roster travels, and a keynote in Omaha is the same conversation as a keynote in Orlando. So the honest answer to "do you have speakers in my city" is almost always yes.

Location still matters for three practical reasons, and they are the reasons these pages exist. Travel costs come out of your budget, so a speaker who is already in your region can stretch the same spend further. Same-day availability is far easier when nobody has to fly. And a speaker who knows your market, your dominant industries and what your audience is actually dealing with locally will connect faster than one working from a generic deck.

What you will find on each city page. The venues and convention centers events actually run in, the industries that shape the room, and speakers who work that market regularly. Not a template with the city name swapped in.

West

Convention capacity in Las Vegas and San Diego, tech and healthcare density across the coast, and the shortest travel days for West Coast events.

Midwest

Association headquarters, manufacturing and insurance concentration, and Chicago as one of the largest meetings markets in North America.

South

The fastest-growing meetings markets in the country, with heavy healthcare, energy, logistics and financial services representation.

Northeast & Mid-Atlantic

Dense association and government activity, financial services, and academic medical centers driving healthcare programming.

How Location Actually Affects Your Budget

Travel is a real line item and it is the one most planners underestimate. A speaker flying cross-country with a night either side costs meaningfully more than the same speaker driving in that morning, and on a tight budget that difference can be what separates the speaker you want from the one you settle for.

There are a few ways to work with that. Ask whether anyone we are recommending is already going to be in your region that week, because piggybacking on an existing trip is the single most effective way to reduce cost. Consider a regional speaker for a breakout and spend the budget on the opening keynote. And if your date is flexible by a day either side, say so early, because it opens up options that a fixed date closes.

When local knowledge genuinely matters

For most keynotes it does not. Leadership is leadership. But there are cases where it does. Association conferences where the audience is regional. Events tied to a local industry, like energy in Houston or healthcare systems in a specific market. And any event where the speaker is expected to reference what the audience is living through rather than deliver a national message.

Tell us which kind of event you are running and we will tell you honestly whether local matters or whether you should just book the best speaker and fly them in.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do you only book speakers in these cities?
No. We are a national bureau and every speaker on our roster travels. These pages exist because location affects travel cost, availability and local relevance, not because it limits who you can book.

Is it cheaper to book a speaker in my city?
Usually, because travel and accommodation come out of your budget. The saving is often larger than people expect, particularly for multi-day travel. Ask us about speakers already scheduled in your region.

My city is not listed. Can you still help?
Yes. We book nationally and these pages cover the markets where we have the most activity. Tell us your city and date and we will send options regardless of where you are.

Can you book a speaker for a virtual event instead?
Yes, and it removes the travel question entirely. See our virtual keynote speakers.

How far in advance should I book?
Sixty days for a single event, ninety or more for an annual conference. In high-demand convention markets like Las Vegas and Orlando during peak season, earlier is better.
