Keynote Speakers in Los Angeles
Los Angeles is one of the most economically diverse metros in the country, spanning entertainment, technology, healthcare, aerospace, international trade and finance. That range means an LA audience is rarely one thing, and the same speaker who lands with a studio's executive team may need a different opening entirely for a healthcare system or an aerospace supplier.
The city is also enormous. Century City, Santa Monica, Downtown, Pasadena, Long Beach and the South Bay are all technically Los Angeles and function as genuinely different rooms with different traffic realities. Treating the metro as one undifferentiated market is a common and avoidable mistake.
Three of our speakers live in Greater LA. Ben Nemtin is in Los Angeles, Barb Betts is in Long Beach and Jon Dorenbos is in Huntington Beach. For an LA-area date that means no travel premium in the fee and no flight risk on arrival.
Speakers Who Work This Market

Where Los Angeles Events Actually Happen
Downtown LA carries citywide convention business, anchored by the LA Convention Center at more than 720,000 square feet of exhibit space.
Century City and Beverly Hills hold the entertainment and media industry's business core, with the hotel and venue standards to match its expectations.
Santa Monica and the Westside are the natural home for technology and start-up audiences, with a noticeably different tone from Century City.
Long Beach and the South Bay serve aerospace, port logistics and international trade, and are a genuinely different economy from the entertainment core.
Pasadena and the San Gabriel Valley carry aerospace engineering and research institutions, producing technically literate audiences with their own character.
Orange County, including Anaheim and Huntington Beach, functions as its own market for association and corporate business, distinct from LA proper.
The Industries That Shape the Room
Entertainment and media. The defining sector globally, and an audience that has genuinely seen everything, which raises the bar for anyone speaking about creativity, storytelling or reinvention.
Technology. A large and growing sector centred on the Westside, spanning enterprise software, gaming and streaming media.
Aerospace and defense. A significant and often underappreciated presence across the South Bay and San Gabriel Valley, with technically rigorous audiences.
International trade and logistics. The ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach anchor one of the largest trade and logistics economies in the country.
Healthcare. Major academic medical centres and health systems supporting a substantial clinical and executive leadership calendar. See our healthcare speakers.
LA traffic, honestly
Distances that look short on a map are not short at rush hour. A speaker travelling from LAX to Pasadena or from Santa Monica to Downtown at the wrong hour can lose ninety minutes to traffic that has nothing to do with the venue. Build real transfer time into the run sheet, and consider a hotel near the actual venue rather than a central one that looks convenient on a map.
Which LA, honestly
Tell us early whether your audience is entertainment, technology, aerospace or trade, because those are close to four different cities wearing one name. A speaker who reads brilliantly in Century City may not be the right fit for a South Bay aerospace supplier, and the reverse is just as true.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do you have speakers who live in Los Angeles?Yes, three. Ben Nemtin lives in Los Angeles, Barb Betts lives in Long Beach and Jon Dorenbos lives in Huntington Beach. That removes travel cost from the fee and removes flight risk from the date.
Do you serve Orange County and the South Bay?Yes, the full Greater Los Angeles region including Orange County, the South Bay, Pasadena and Long Beach.
Is an entertainment audience different from a technology or aerospace one?Genuinely, yes. Tell us the industry and we will shortlist accordingly rather than assuming one LA speaker fits every LA room.
How much should we worry about traffic when planning the day?More than most cities. A distance that looks short on a map can take ninety minutes at the wrong hour. Build real transfer time into the schedule.
How far in advance should we book?Ninety days is usually workable. Six months or more for a major downtown venue or an entertainment industry event tied to awards season.

Entertainment, tech, aerospace or trade?
Tell us which, and where the venue actually is. Those two answers shape the shortlist more than the topic does.
